SHAMOKIN — Robert K. "Bob" Kehler, 56, formerly of 1392 Mountain Road, Paxinos, passed away at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2014, while in the company of family members, at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Lori Kehler, of 130 Iris Road.

He was born Feb. 1, 1958, in Danville, a son of the late Dorothy (Grow) and Robert C. Kehler.
Bob attended Shamokin Area schools.
On Jan. 24, 2007, in Jamaica, he married the former Maxine Kerstetter, who passed away April 17, 2013. Bob and Maxine shared a loving bond of 21 years. His greatest love in life was Maxine and the special times they spent together. Bob was heartbroken when Maxine passed away.
He was a supervisor for Conrail and had been employed by the company since he was 17 years old.
Bob was a member of the Independence Fire Company, Shamokin, and the Fairview Gun Club, Coal Township.
An avid outdoorsman, he especially liked fly-fishing and deer hunting. He enjoyed riding his Harley and attending Penn State Nittany Lion football games.
Surviving are two sons, Christian Kehler and Kendall Kehler; a stepdaughter, Deana Scandle; a stepson, Robert Scandle and his wife, Karen; five grandchildren, Matthew, Chryssa and Nikolas Kehler, Colby Bixler and Penelope Scandle; a brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Lori Kehler; a sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Jeff White, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

At Bob's request, services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family at All Saints Cemetery, Bear Gap, with the Rev. Betty Ford officiating. There will not be a viewing or visitation. Interment of Bob and Maxine's cremains will be in All Saints Cemetery, Bear Gap. The family has entrusted funeral arrangements to the James Kelley Funeral Home, James F. Kelley, director, 1001 W. Arch St. at Maple Street, Coal Township.
