COAL TOWNSHIP — Eleanor L. Shebelski, 91, of 1656 Mohawk St., passed away at 6:20 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2014, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where she had been admitted six days ago.

Eleanor was born Dec. 28, 1922, in Shamokin, a daughter of the late John and Bertha (Jachimowicz) Bartlinski. She was a resident of Shamokin all of her life.

She attended St. Stanislaus School and was a member of Mother Cabrini Church.

She was married in St. Stanislaus Church to John D. Shebelski, who preceded her in death in 1943. She then married Walter Shebelski, who preceded her in death in 1964.

She was employed at the Arrow Shirt Co. as a sewer before retiring in 1983.

She enjoyed crocheting and her grandchildren.

Surviving are two children, Diane Fabrizio and her husband, John, of Coal Township, and Daniel M. Shebelski, of Coal Township; three grandchildren, John Glenn Fabrizio, Danelle Hauer and Michelle Hasuga; six great-grandchildren, Vanessa and Alicia Fabrizio, Kevin Jr. and Jordan Hauer and Andrew and Mackenzie Hasuga, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Joelle Shebelski, two sisters and two brothers.


SHEBELSKI — Eleanor L. Shebelski, 91, of 1656 Mohawk St., Coal Township. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Mother Cabrini Church with a Franciscan friar as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Coal Township. A viewing will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at the James Kelley Funeral Home, 1001 W. Arch St. at Maple Street, Coal Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be given to Our Lady of Lourdes High School in her memory. Funeral arrangements and services are by the Olley-Gotlob Funeral Home, 539 Race St., Sunbury.
