EXCELSIOR — Josephine T. Baranoski, 82, of 128 Iron St., died Wednesday, June 25, 2014, in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born in Excelsior, March 13, 1932, a daughter of the late Marion and Stella Domanski. She was a lifelong resident of Excelsior.

She attended Coal Township High School.

She was employed at Arrow Shirt Factory and as a beautician.

Josephine was a member of the former St. Anthony Church, Ranshaw, now Mother Cabrini Church, Shamokin.

Survivors include a niece, Carlene General; a nephew, Randy Baranoski and his wife, Shiela, and two great-nephews, Ray General and Jason General and his wife, Ann Marie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Stanley, Frank and John Baranoski; two sisters, Mary General and Frances Graboski, and a nephew, Raymond General.


BARANOSKI — Josephine T. Baranoski, 82, of 128 Iron St., Excelsior. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mother Cabrini Church, Shamokin. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Trevorton Road. There will be no visitation or hours of calling. Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home Ltd., Leonard J. Lucas Jr., supervisor, 120 S. Market St., Shamokin, has charge of arrangements.
