ELYSBURG — John Capozello Jr., 58, of 140 Hillside Ave., passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 29, 2014.

Johnny was born in Omaha, Neb. on May 10, 1956. He was a graduate of Southern Columbia High School. On June 11, 1977, he married the former Cindy Zeigler.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Johnny was an avid golfer and played for the Metso golf league on Thursdays at Liberty Valley Country Club near Danville. He was also an excellent cook, baker, owned his own cookie shop and was Mr. Softee from 1978 to 1984.
Johnny also enjoyed going on motorcycle trips and had plans to ride to Canada in July. He was a football fan and enjoyed being with his family and close friends on "Sunday Funday" during football season. He also was a very enthusiastic drummer.
Johnny enjoyed vacationing with his family and recently returned from the Outer Banks.
He was employed as a sales representative by Zilka & Co. from 2003 until his passing.
Surviving are his loving wife of 37 years, Cindy Capozello, of Elysburg; his mother, Bette Capozello, of Elysburg; his daughter and son-in-law, Breeanne and Joseph Fisher, of Elysburg; Charlene Zeigler and the late Ned Zeigler, of Elysburg, Donny and Sheri Zeigler, of Enola, Scott and Christy Zeigler, of Birdsboro, Missy Klischer, of Kulpmont, Chris Persing, of Irish Valley; three grandchildren, Jonathan Capozello, Chelsea and Ashton Fisher; nieces and nephews, Abbey and Nick Zeigler, Justine Zeigler, Jennie and Andrew Holloway and their daughter, Andrea, Justin Janovich, Tyler Wiest.
He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Capozello, and his father, John Capozello Sr.
Johnny had a group of very close friends that are considered to be extended family, including Chris, Lisa, Todd, Steven and Tyler Rey, Nate, April and Nick Morgan, Mark, Donna, Alicia and Victoria Slagle, Lynn Snyder, the late Ralph Kobbe, Sue Kobbe and Nikki Shebelski, Bobby and Sue Kerris.
CAPOZELLO — John Capozello Jr., 58, of 140 Hillside Ave., Elysburg. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Elysburg Alliance Church, Elysburg. Services will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to www.marchforbabies.org. Donations can be made under the name Joseph Fisher of Team Chelsea Fisher. The Ray W. Rothermel Funeral Home, Elysburg, has charge of arrangements.
