ASHLAND — Richard L. Tielman, 74, formerly of Ashland, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Shenandoah Manor Nursing Center, Shenandoah.

He was born Feb. 20, 1940, in Ashland, a son of the late William and Helene (Lex) Tielman.

He graduated from Butler Township schools.

Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He worked on construction for many years and was last employed for Marko Radiator until his retirement.

He was a member of the Good Fellowship Club, Ashland, and the VFW Post in Mount Carmel.

Surviving are a daughter and son, Linda Wilson and Carl Tielman, both of Tennessee, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Mark; a brother, William Tielman, and two sisters, Ruth Reichwein and Dorothy Weldon.

TIELMAN — Richard L. Tielman, 74, formerly of Ashland. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland. Interment will be in Christ Church Cemetery, Fountain Springs. Viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
