ASHLAND — Wanda E. Harner, 86, of Cherry Street, passed away Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014, at the Friendly Nursing Home, Pitman.

She was born in Lavelle, Jan. 28, 1928, a daughter of the late Charles "Chappy" and Evelyn (Eister) Wolfgang.
She was a graduate of Butler Township High School, Class of 1946.
Wanda worked at Reidler Knitting Mills until her retirement.
She was a member of Christ E.C. Church, Lavelle, where she served as the primary superintendent and president of the missionary society and the steward board.
She was a member of the Lavelle Fire Company and was past president of the North Schuylkill Band Parent Association.
She enjoyed camping, gardening and baking.
Surviving are two daughters and a son, Barbara Hepler and her husband, Donald, Janet Wolfgang and her husband, Glenn, and Robert Harner and his wife, Cathy, all of Lavelle; six grandchildren, Jason, Jesse and Joshua Hepler, Brian Wolfgang, Kristen Wolfgang and Michelle Harner, and two great-grandchildren, Katilyn and Gabriel Hepler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood "Woody" Harner, on May 2, 2014. They would have been married 64 years Sept. 16.
HARNER — Wanda E. Harner, 86, of Cherry Street, Ashland. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Christ E.C. Church, Lavelle, with the Rev. Michael Eck officiating. Interment will be in Citizens Cemetery, Lavelle. A viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
