LEWISBURG — Reynolds J. John, 63, of 511 Maclay Ave., passed away Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, at his family home in Trevorton.

Born Feb. 21, 1947, in Shamokin, he was a son of the late Reynolds and Margaret (Gilchrist) John.
Growing up in Trevorton, he attended Trevorton High School. After his military service, he graduated from Shippensburg University with a degree in medical technology.
He served in U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
He married Christine John, who preceded him in death after 19 years of marriage.
Reynolds retired from Evangelical Community Hospital in 2008 after 35 years of employment.
He enjoyed playing the guitar, golfing, walking his dog Jack, woodworking, bicycling and listening to his son, Steve, play the violin.
Surviving are two daughters, Tiffany, and her husband Brad, and Tara and her husband, Sean; a son, Stephen; a stepson, Jim; four granddaughters, Leah, Maya, Elise and Macy; four sisters and a brother and their spouses, Angela Wilkinson and Keith Troutman, Cindy and Ken Erdman, Dianne DiGiovanni, Susan and Tony Pu, and David John; 14 nieces and nephews, and his girlfriend, Pattie Dearman.
JOHN — Reynolds J. John, 63, of 511 Maclay Ave., Lewisburg. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Robert G. Foust Jr. Funeral Home, 841 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton, with the Rev. Paula Gustafson officiating. A private burial will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sun Home Health and Hospice, 61 Duke St., Northumberland 17857, or to the local Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
