CHAMBERSBURG — Emily Herb, 98, formerly of Mount Carmel, passed away Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011, at the Shook Home..

Born Sept. 6, 1913, in Girardville, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Laura (Ebner) Fetterman.
She was a graduate of Girardville High School.
She was married to Isaac Herb, who preceded her in death Sept. 22, 1979.
She was an active member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Mount Carmel, where she served on the church council and taught Sunday school for over 40 years.
She belonged to the former Chrysanthemum Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and his wife, Davy, of Pittsburgh, David and his wife, Rhonda, of Fresno, Calif., and John and his wife, Beth, of Shippensburg; six grandchildren, Gregory and Nathan Herb, Travis and Laura Guillebaud and Erika Mannion and Nicole Mann, and nine great-grandchildren.
HERB — Emily Herb, 98, formerly of Mount Carmel. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Willard A. Rothermel Funeral Home, Ray W. Rothermel, director, with the Rev. Joan Brown officiating. Interment will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shook Home, 55 S. Second St., Chambersburg 17201.
