COAL TOWNSHIP — Dawn M. Thomas, 76, of 913 Center St., passed away Monday, March 5, 2012, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born Nov. 13, 1935, in Shamokin, she was a daughter of the late William and Eleanor (Bradley) Thompson.
She was a 1953 graduate of Coal Township High School.
In 1954, she married Donald A. Thomas, who survives.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Shamokin. She enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children, Annette Nairns, of Coal Township, Bernadette and Jason Lorenz, of Coal Township, Colette Long, of Coal Township, Lee and Ruby Thomas, of Paxinos, and Gary and Annie Thomas, of Coal Township; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren, Blake and Haley, and a half-sister, Louise Pitt.
THOMAS — Dawn M. Thomas, 76, of 913 Center St., Coal Township. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury.
