MOUNT CARMEL — Cecelia M. Dorkoski, 83, formerly of 428 W. Fig St., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

Born Oct. 24, 1929, in Marion Heights, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Katie (Ambicka) Golda.
She was a 1947 graduate of Kulpmont High School.
In 1949 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Marion Heights, she married Henry P. Dorkoski, who preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 1990.
She worked as a seamstress in the local garment factories.
Cecelia was a former member of Mother of Consolation Church, now Divine Redeemer, Mount Carmel, a Girl Scout leader for more than six years at Mother of Consolation and a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was devoutly religious.
Survivors include her daughter, Patti, of New Jersey; two brothers, Joseph and his wife, Doris Golda, of Harrisburg, and Leonard and his wife, Mary Golda, of Mountaintop; a sister, Mary Tana, of Elysburg, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline; two sisters, Stella Mullighan and Helen Kealey, and a brother, John Golda.
DORKOSKI — Cecelia M. Dorkoski, 83, formerly of 428 W. Fig St., Mount Carmel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Divine Redeemer Church, 300 W. Avenue, Mount Carmel, with the Rev. John A. Szada Jr. officiating. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg. Viewing will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday with Transferral Prayers to be held at 9:15 a.m. in the C.J.
