MECHANICSBURG — Herbert (Pat) E. Lenker Jr., 69, of Mechanicsburg, transitioned into eternal life on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013.

Born in Paxinos, he was a son of Helen (McFall) Lenker and the late Herbert E. Lenker Sr.
He attended Brown University.
On April 26, 1969, he married Jeanne Herb, who survives.
He was a retired employee of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, working as a system analyst for the Department of Welfare.
Herb's hobbies were reading, travel, watching football and basketball. He loved the latest technology gadgets. He was a member of the West Shore Elks Club, the Harrisburg Bridge Club, Gourmet Club and was a Freemason.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne (Herb) Lenker, with whom he would have celebrated 44 years of marriage on April 26. The love of his life were his two daughters, Wendy M. Gaefke, married to Jon Gaefke, of Bethel Park, and Shelley L. Davis, married to Dr. Stephen Davis, of Chesapeake, Va.; five grandchildren, Xavier, Alyssa and Patrick Gaefke, Caroline and Jonathan Davis; his mother, Helen Lenker Clark; four sisters, Rosanna Battista, Helen Cooper, Doris Gargie and Shirley Kautter, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
LENKER — Herbert (Pat) E. Lenker Jr., 69, of Mechanicsburg. Funeral services will be held at noon Monday at Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. Interment will be in Remembrance Garden Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 6701 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg.
