COAL TOWNSHIP — Martha Jane Dilliplane, 83, of 1451 W. Montgomery St., died at 10:08 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at her residence. She had been in ill health the past three months.

Born in Shamokin, Feb. 22, 1929, she was a daughter of the late William George Henninger and Veronica (Bednar) Henninger.
She was a 1946 graduate of St. Edward's High School and a 1949 graduate of Geisinger School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse in the cardiac unit of Shamokin State General Hospital before retiring in 1979.
On Aug. 19, 1950, in Salem United Church of Christ, Coal Township, she married Harold L. "Perry" Dilliplane, who died Nov. 21, 1992.
She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, the church's Willing Workers group and the Geisinger Alumni Association.
Surviving are daughters, Darlis Tasker, at home, and her companion, James Valania, and Debbi Wolfe and her husband, Michael, of Marion Heights; four grandchildren, Richard Daniel Tasker and his wife, Nicole, at home, and Mallory, Dan and Devon Fisher, all of Philadelphia; a brother, George Henninger and his wife, Terry, of Oakland, Maine, and a sister, Marguerite Johnson and her husband, James, of Elysburg.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Dilliplane, in 1980, and a sister, Elinore Scott.
DILLIPLANE — Martha Jane Dilliplane, 83, of 1451 W. Montgomery St., Coal Township. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Salem United Church of Christ, 1300 W. Pine St., Coal Township, with the Rev. Jean Eckrod officiating. Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church. Farrow Funeral Directors, Shamokin, have charge of arrangements. The family requests memorial donations be made to Salem United Church of Christ, 1300 W. Pine St., Coal Township, PA 17866.
