DANVILLE — Charles John Snyder, 51, of Grandview Nursing Home, passed away peacefully at 10:47 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2013, at the nursing home. He had been in ill health the past two years.

He was born in Bedford, Va., July 9, 1961, a son of Irvin F. Snyder Jr., of Paxinos, and the late Marlene Ann (Noll) Snyder.
He lived in Paxinos since childhood, graduated from Southern Columbia Area High School in 1980, and worked with his father as a small engine mechanic at Snyder and Son Small Engine Repair, Shamokin.
Surviving, in addition to his father, are a brother, Irvin "Frank" Snyder and his wife, Cindy, of Elysburg; his twin sister, Charlene Hamp and her husband, Barry, of Reno, Nev.; two nieces, Melanie Guinther, and Melissa Muroco, and two nephews, David Madara and Frank Snyder.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cyndi Madara, and a niece, Corine Madara.
SNYDER — Charles John Snyder, 51, of Grandview Nursing Home, Danville, formerly of Paxinos. Funeral service is at noon Tuesday at Farrow Funeral Home, 240 W. Chestnut St., Shamokin, with the Rev. Samuel Bellavia officiating. Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.
