Dennis D. Reed, 54, of Tower City, died Friday, April 5, 2013 with his wife by his side after a courageous three year battle with cancer.

Dennis was a true warrior fighting this disease until the end.
Born in Lancaster, Oct. 22, 1958, he was a son of Edna Scheib Reed, New Holland, and the late Allen Reed.
Dennis was a 1976 graduate of Tri-Valley High School, Hegins.
He was shift leader with Michael's Food, Klingerstown. Prior to that he was employed by Swab Wagon Company, Elizabethville.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Tower City. He was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan.
Dennis enjoyed searching genealogy. His greatest joy was his grandson, his little buddy, Elias.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Kathryn E. Machamer Reed; a stepdaughter, Kayla E. Berger, Harrisburg; his grandson, Elias Berger; a brother, Bruce Reed and his wife, Fay, Muir; two sisters, Tina Reed, New Holland, and Rose Steich and her husband, Kenny, Pitman; nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
Funeral services were scheduled to be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 10 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Tower City, with the Rev. Linda Bonfiglio. Interment was to be in Greenwood Cemetery.
