COAL TOWNSHIP — Gerald A. "Jerry" Spatzer, 71, of 1421 Wabash St., passed away at home Friday morning, April 19, 2013.

He was born in Danville, July 26, 1941, a son of the late Albert J. and Helen (Santor) Spatzer.
He attended St. Stanislaus' Grade School and St. Edward's High School.
Gerald married Mary Ann Klutz, July 2, 1971, at Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church, Elysburg.
He was the owner/operator of Gerald Spatzer Electrical & Plumbing.
He was a member of Mother Cabrini Church.
Gerald enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a wonderful husband, father, and friend.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Mary Ann Spatzer; a daughter, Stephanie Spatzer, of Harleysville; a sister-in-law, Pat Yasenchak and her husband, Mick, of Paxinos, and a niece, Megan Yasenchak and her husband, Daniel Leavey, of Bayonne, N.J.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a mother-in-law, Mary Zyla Klutz.
SPATZER— Gerald A. Spatzer, 71, of 1421 Wabash St., Coal Township. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Mother Cabrini Church, 214 N. Shamokin St., Shamokin. Visitation will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home Ltd., 120 S. Market St., Shamokin. A committal service will be private and at the convenience of the family. The Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
