ELYSBURG — Margaret C. McManiman, 76, of Elysburg, formerly of Parkside, went to be with the Lord Friday, April 26, 2013, enveloped by the love of her family at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Her faith in Jesus and love for her family gave her the strength and courage to endure a four-year struggle with cancer.

She was born May 21, 1936, in Mount Carmel, a daughter of the late Gaza and Mary (Galley) Shosh.
She was a 1954 graduate of Mount Carmel Catholic High School.
She married John F. McManiman on Aug. 31, 1957, in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, who preceded her in death Oct. 26, 1996.
Margaret enjoyed cake decorating, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Full Gospel Assembly of God Church, Brookhaven, and attended Mountainside Assembly of God Church in Coal Township.
Margaret is survived by four daughters, Karen McDevitt and her husband, Kevin, of Petersburg Va., Lisa DelloBuono and her husband, Larry, of Garnet Valley, Deirdre Girardi and her husband, Steven, of Elysburg, and Kathleen McManiman and her companion, Dan Brabson, of Franklinville, N.J.; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Eleanor Shervinskie and her husband, Thomas, of Elysburg, and two brothers, John Shosh, of Northumberland, and Joseph Shosh, of Red Hill.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Margaret Ramey and Patricia McManiman.
McMANIMAN — Margaret C. McManiman, 76, of Elysburg, and formerly of Parkside. A viewing will be held in the Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home Ltd., 120 S. Market St., Shamokin, from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, preceded by a viewing at 9 a.m. at Full Gospel Assembly of God Church, 301 Edwards Drive, Brookhaven, with the Rev. Lawrence Weed officiating, followed by burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, Chester. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, 14 Penn Plaza, Suite 1710, New York N.Y. 10122.
