Age: 92 • Staunton, VA
Gae Roma Mullenax, age 92, of Staunton. VA, formerly of Cherry Grove, WV, passed away on May 16, 2017. She was born at Macksville, WV, a daughter of the late Glenn and Myrtle Hedrick.
Mrs. Mullenax is survived by her husband of 72 years, Garland Mullenax; her children, Harlan Mullenax and his wife, Phyllis, and daughter Elnora Hazlett and her husband Richard Hazlett of Staunton. 2 grandchildren, William (Bill) Mullenax of MD and Kevin Hazlett and his wife Lori of Staunton, 2 Great-grandchildren Cody and Mckenzie Hazlett, 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren, Karsyn and Gracie Hazlett. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring staff of the Legacy of North Augusta, Staunton, VA and to Hospice of Augusta Health.

So sorry for the loss of Gae she was truly a remarkable lady. She was a inspiration to me and my brothers growing up. I have such fond memories of her and my childhood. Especially of her trying to teach me and my brothers to mow the yard and take of her roses. She was a mother to all of us. I know she is flying high now with her angel wings. Prayers to the family may God bless you all and help you through this difficult time.
