Jacqueline W. (Flagg) Little Obituary
Jacqueline W. (Flagg) Little, from Newton, MA, Lexington, MA, Sunapee, NH, Mt. Dora, FL, and most recently North Andover, MA passed away at 91 years old at the Edgewood Retirement Community in North Andover, MA on October 30, 2017. Jackie leaves behind her two daughters and their families: Sue, Bob, Ally, and Katie Doyle from Leominster, MA and Andi, Bob, Eric, and Drew Couilliard from Plaistow, NH, as well as other relatives, and many friends.
Jackie had a life-long interest in entertaining and loved spending time with friends and family, playing bridge, fly fishing, lawn bowling, playing the piano, and riding horses. She was an adventurer at heart, travelling to South America, Alaska, Europe, the Bahamas, Canada, and across the United States. She was a true animal lover and adored her cat, Rascal.
Jackie was born in Newton, MA and spent many a summer growing up at Fort Pond in Littleton, MA. Her dad taught her fly fishing at an early age, a sport that she enjoyed well into her eighties! She attended high school at Dana Hall and received her BA degree in Music from Wheaton College in MA. In her twenties, she married Ashton Little and moved to Lexington, MA. She worked for AT&T as a customer service representative in her post college years, and then became a full-time mother. Throughout her life, Jackie volunteered and raised funds for a number of organizations in the communities she lived in, including the Symmes Hospital Auxiliary, Wheaton College, Florence Crittendon, Hancock United Church of Christ, and two Visiting Nurse Associations and Hospices. She retired to Sunapee, NH with Ashton, and remained there until 2015, when she moved to North Andover, MA to be closer to her children. Jackie spent her winters in the family home in Mount Dora, FL.
In her lifetime, Jackie touched many lives. She enjoyed a long, vibrant life as a daughter, a wife, a mother, a Nana, and a friend, and now she is at peace. Come celebrate her life and share stories with us at a memorial service on Saturday, November 18th at 1:00 PM at the Hancock United Church of Christ, 1912 Massachusetts Ave. in Lexington, MA. In lieu of flowers, in Jackie's honor, we would hope that you would do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for someone or some organization in her name.
