Dale ""Speedy"" Frese

Dale E. Frese "Speedy" passed away on June 24, 2013, in Fairbanks. He was 75. Dale was born on March 26, 1938, in Walthill, Neb., and has lived in Alaska since 1964.
Dale went to country school in Nebraska and graduated from Walthill Nebraska High School in 1957. He retired from the Teamsters in 1985 and was married to Veronica M. Frese for 24 years. Dale was a cab driver and dispatcher, a great chef, berry picker, mushroom picker, hunter and fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Sr. and Johanna Lubbers; his brother, Darrell and two sisters, Shirley Jump Frese and Darlene Brown; sister-in-law, Bonnie Frese; many aunts and uncles, and Charles A. Nickoli Jr.
Dale is survived by his wife, Veronica M. Frese, of Fairbanks; son, George Frese; daughter, Carey Nollner Frese; stepsons, Barney Nollner and Roy John Nollner; granddaughter, Tilisha, and great-granddaughter, Julie Ann; brothers, Donald and Sharon Frese, of Decatur, Neb., and Herman Jr. and Sandy Frese, of S. Sioux City, Neb.; sister, Linnea Modlin of Fairbanks; aunt, Dorothy Frese, of Pender, Neb.; sister-in-law, Ramona Frese, of Omaha, Neb.; brother-in-laws, Dick Jump, of Macy, Neb., Marvin Brown, of Fairbanks; and Lee O'Kelly, of Fairbanks; sister-in-laws, Jenny Nickoli, of Ruby; Esther Hast, Darlene Madros, Viola Nickoli and companion Mark Peters; nephew, Carlin James Esmailka, of Galena; and many cousins, nieces and nephews of the midwest.
There will be a picnic at 1 p.m. today, Aug. 3, 2013, at University Park. Please bring a dish. Refreshments will be provided. Also, bring your guitars.
