Harvey Williams

Harvey Williams passed away Dec. 23, 2012. Harvey left behind not only family members but many friends from all walks of life.
He had friends from his childhood, high school in Chemawa, the dog mushing community, Kanuti Wildlife Refuge, Fish and Game and more. His passions were dog mushing, hunting and being in the wilderness.
Harvey was born in Northway and his mother would like to thank Hilda Clark, Jane Glazer and two other ladies from Northway, for delivering him. He left behind wonderful memories, especially about his most remarkable traits - his sincere, explosive laugh and huge smile.
He is survived by his mother, Lucy Strassburg, of Allakaket; step-father, Wayne Strassburg (LiChen), of Galena; grandmothers, Hazel Strassburg, Alda Frank and Alice Ambrose; brothers, Steven W. Strassburg (Louise) and Delbert Bergman; sisters, Michelle Dugay (Keith), Elizabeth Strassburg, Yvette Riley (CJ) and Rochelle Bifelt; nephews, Logan Dugay, Terrance and Evan Strassburg; and niece, Hazel Ann Marie Strassburg; his daughter, Nadine Bear, of Idaho; uncles, Charlie Williams, Lawrence Williams, Jack Ambrose, John Ambrose and Lige Ambrose; and aunties, L. Bessie Moses, Christine M. Vent (Gilbert Sr.) Ella Sam (Lester), Ester McCarty (Pat), Millie Ambrose, JoAnn Grimaldi (Nick), and Sharlene Strassburg (Loren); cousins, John Cole (Latoya), Travis Cole, Kim Sowinsky, John Williams (April), A. Olivia Vent (Eric), Dinah Vent (Adrian), Gilbert Vent Jr., Robert Attatayuk (Veronica), Jesse Attatayuk (Eva); and many more cousins, nephews, nieces and others whom he loved and who loved him, including, Veronica Sherman.
He was preceded in death by his father, Art Ambrose; grandparents, Robert and Janie Williams; and grandfather, Harvey Strassburg. 
Harvey Williams was laid to rest Dec. 29, 2012, in the Southfork Cemetery in Allakaket.
