James Stoddard

James Owen Chase Stoddard (Fuller), 41, of North Pole, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013, in his sleep.
At age 17, James joined the U.S. Air Force and became a mechanic. He worked on planes and choppers which he loved so much and decided to make mechanics his career. Along the way in life, he learned many other trades and gained many other talents, such as certified barber, artist, tattoo artist, and mastering computer programming. He loved building big trucks and playing in the mud with them. His ultimate dream was to go back to school and earn his degree, and one day open his own mechanic shop. He had so many wonderful ideas that he wanted to apply to his life, all of which he could have accomplished.
In 1998 he became a godfather to Elizabeth Whitney Coghill, who he loved dearly and helped raise. They loved the outdoors just as much as playing in the mud with trucks. At age 39, he married his wife, Cecilia King, and through their marriage he gained his son, James Campbell. His son became just as important to him as his goddaughter. He was a wonderful father to both his children and great husband to his wife.
He lived a rough life but played just as hard and loved even deeper. He loved his family and his friends. He gladly went out of his way and would give his very own shirt off his back to help others. He is missed and loved by us all but most important, is carried on through our memories. No matter how tough life became, he always prevailed, making his challenge an accomplishment. Although he lived, loved, and learned the hard way, it gave him a heart of gold.
James is survived by his loving wife, Celilia King, of Fairbanks; son, James S. Campbell, of Fairbanks; brothers, Richard Fuller (Badger) and David Fuller, both of Vt.; mother, Nancy L. Fuller-Clark, of Vt.; goddaughter, Elizabeth W. Coghill, of Fairbanks; aunt and uncle, Rita and Carl Adam, of Vt.; aunt, Carol Jarvis, of Vt.; mom and dad, Kathleen and John Seurer, of N.D.; sisters, Cindy Coghill-Seurer, of Fairbanks, Candy Carlton and Veronica Bailey, both of Vt., Cheryl Nash, of Nev., and Tammy Jackson, of Fairbanks; brother, Shane Seurer, of Fairbanks; best friend, Steve Dahl, of North Pole; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends too many to name.
