John Joseph Feeley, 82, of Manley Hot Springs, died June 7, 2014, at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital with his family by his side, after a battle with cancer.
John was born July 13, 1931, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late John and Margaret Feeley. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy
. John had lived in Alaska for the past 17 years. He worked as a merchant mariner for 30 years.
He was involved in many charitable organizations. His family states, "John was greatly loved and will be sadly missed. He will be in our hearts forever."
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Tudda.
He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Kenneth Muller, of Greenwich, Connecticut; niece, Marge Muller, of Larchmont, New York; nephews, Ken Muller, of Greenwich, Connecticut, John Muller, of Dallas, Texas, and Robert Muller, of Coppell, Texas.
A celebration of life was held at Immaculate Conception Church.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fairbanks Funeral Home.
