Linda Lee Lano

Linda Lee Lano, 61, passed away peacefully at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital after struggling with heart failure. Linda was born Sept. 20, 1956, in Hoquiam, Wash., the daughter of Harold and Ruby Lano.
Linda moved to Alaska in the 70s to work on the trans-Alaska oil pipeline and was a member of the Laborer's Union. In her recent years, Linda worked for Eagle Cab.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Sonia Soroka, as well as Linda's five siblings.
Linda was a strong spirit, and a very independent and talented woman. She loved gardening, being outdoors, and crafting Victorian era decor.
Linda's daughter would like to give thanks to those that cared for Linda during her recent illness.
Linda requested to be cremated. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 3, at Chapel of Chimes Funeral Home, 415 Illinois St., in Fairbanks, for anyone who wishes to attend.
