Robert Todd Kimball passed away Dec. 12, 2013, at St. Joseph's Memorial Hospital in St. Charles, Mo., after a short illness. Todd was born April 8, 1958, in Fairbanks, to Bob and Helen Kimball. He was the oldest of five children.
He graduated from Lathrop High School in 1976 and remained in Fairbanks until moving to Arizona in 1992 to pursue a career in the airline industry. As his family left Alaska for the Midwest one by one, Todd followed and settled in St. Charles to be near them all.
Todd was an avid collector and especially appreciated classic cars. His pride and joy was a 1929 Model A Ford, belonging to his father, that he had restored to its original condition. He enjoyed sharing his collection with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
He loved his family deeply and unconditionally and will be sorely missed until they are all reunited in Heaven.
Todd is survived by his mother, Helen Kimball; best friend, Steve Smith; and four younger sisters and their families: Jenny and Tom Olendorff and children, Steve, Lauren and Grace, and grandchildren, William and Finley; Mary and Rick Leach, and children, Sarah, Jennifer, Kate and Ricky, and granddaughter, Samantha; Suzanne and Greg Modesitt and children, Ryan, Matthew and Savannah; and Lynn and Jerry Groff and children, Megan, Jessica and Caroline.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Kimball, and nephew, Shawn Leach.
Condolences can be sent to Helen Kimball, 723 First Capitol #217, St. Charles, MO 63301.
