Charlotte R. John Obituary
Charlotte R. John, age 71, passed away April 1, 2014, in Fairbanks, surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born Jan. 5, 1943, in Venetie to Daniel and Nena Roberts.
Charlotte was a very talented master beader who made slippers and gloves for friends and close relatives who passed on. She was a store manager alone with her father who started the little family run store.

Charlotte was a housewife and homemaker and taught her granddaughters to sew beads to carry on her traditional Gwich'in values. She lived her traditional lifestyle and passed it on to her children, grandchildren and relatives. She made the best moose soup and fried bread. She loved to read, play bingo, watch TV, crochet, and loved to talk and visit with her friends and relatives. She was the best mom, sister, aunt and grandma.
Charlotte is survived by her daughters, Janet John, Joyce John, Tina John (Jerry Little), and Cynthia Peter, all of Fairbanks; sons, Richard John, Jonas John Jr. and Dwayne John (Robert Titus), also of Fairbanks; step-daughter, Faith Herbert and kids; grandchildren, Miranda Todorov (Yonko), Candace John, Brittany John, and Janelle Lawrence and boys, all of Anchorage; Danielle John, Ashley John, Kenneth John, Tiffany John and Michelle Titus, of Fairbanks; Charlene Titus, Eric John and Felicia John, of Venetie; Terissa Little, Gerald Little II, Issac Little and Evan Little, of Fairbanks; many great-grandchildren, goddaughter, Crystal Druck; brother, Lincoln Roberts; sisters, Exenia Sam and Elizabeth Cadzow; companion and lifelong friend, Al Duyck; sisters-in-law, Lois James and Sally Herron; brothers-in-law, Eddie John and Jim Peter; friends, Sarah John, Bella Savino, Lucy Frank, Donna Gram, Steve Snyder, Marion Ginnis, and many more.
Thanks to all who came and brought food and prayers. We will always keep everyone in our prayers.
