Emily McDonald Obituary
Emily was a beautiful young woman who cared deeply for others; she was employed by ResCare as a CNA working with the elderly.
According to her employer, she was as devoted to her patients just as much as she was to her family and friends.
She earned her GED and worked her way through the UAF Technical and Community College to earn her certification.
Born in Anchorage on July 26, 1994, she also lived on Fort Benning, Georgia, and Fort Wainwright before settling in North Pole after her father retired from the army.
She was married last November to McKay Hutton, and together they had a precious little girl, Teagan Eylie, whom her grandparents were looking forward to spoiling.
Emily is survived by her son, Tristan Gilbert, 5, of North Pole; her parents, Patrick and Laura McDonald, of North Pole; her brother, Devin McDonald, 11, of North Pole; along with two half-
sisters, Chantelle and Anna Allen, one half-brother, Chance Strautins, and her birth mother, Linda Hendrick, all from Clovis, New Mexico.
She is also survived by her grandmothers, Sandra McDonald and Lenore Stevenson, of Beaufort, South Carolina, along with numerous aunts: Kim and Cindy McDonald, and Mary-Claire Naulder, Viola Krumanaker, Regina Yarborough, Angela Mtta, Nancy Emmi; and uncles Michael Blake Stevenson, Ted Naulder and Ron Flory, along with numerous cousins.
A private memorial will be held for family and friends in the near future.

Emily, you and the baby are loved and missed so very much. Two days before you were taken was the last time we talked. Oh how I miss our weekly call, and all the pictures you’d send me. I had a memorial made in memory of you and teagan. Of course you have seen that from Heaven. One day we will see each other again. I Love you both so very much.
