Robert "Bo" Folger Obituary
Our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend, Robert "Bo" Folger, went home to be with the Lord at 53 on Aug. 11, 2014, at home. He was born in Tanana on Dec. 8, 1960, to Lillian and William "Diner" Folger Jr.,  one of 12 children.
Robert was a member of the St. James Episcopal Church, Tanana Tribal Council and a shareholder of Doyon and Tozitna, Limited. Robert enjoyed many different fields of work. This was evident in his employment with the Tanana Tribal Council and Chalkyitsik Village Council as laborer, FEMA, Tanana Village Safewater, seasonal firefighter with the BLM and also had taken Asbestos and Hazwop training.
Robert met the love of his life, Geraldine Nathaniel, in 1990 and they married on Sept. 21, 2006. He loved living the subsistence way of life with his grandparents, Lee and Florence Albert, at Cosjacket, in which he did everything with them from season to season. He was known by his family, many friends and all who came to know him, as a very kind, friendly, loving, happy and humorous guy. He loved to be around family and friends and always lending a helping hand when he saw that it was needed. Driving a snowmachine and hauling wood, camping, moose hunting, working on small engines and walking around the three mile loop were just a few of many things he loved to do.
He will be greatly missed by all. We will especially miss his great sense of humor and smile.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, William "Diner" Folger Jr.; sisters, Katherine Gotcher, Barbara and Eleanor Folger; brother, Johnny Folger; niece, Cheryl Folger; grandparents, Lee and Florence Albert, and his children's mother, Verna Tyone.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Geraldine "Geri;" daughters, Marielle and Louise Tyone; son, Matthew Tyone, and step-son, Jason Nathaniel; his mother, Lillian Folger; sisters, Verna Alred, D. Florence Folger, Cindy Folger; brothers, Alfred Woods, Ricky Folger Sr., Fred Folger, Lee Folger, and Gerald Nelson; aunt, Hannah Nelson; and many nieces and nephews.
Service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, at the St. James Episcopal Church in Tanana, with visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be at the Mission cemetery.
