Fairbanks resident Brandon "Bud" Michael McConnell, 27, passed away on Dec. 7, 2012, because of an unfortunate accident.|
Brandon was born on Aug. 19, 1985, in Elmira, N.Y., and was raised in Fairbanks, Alaska. He was a 2004 graduate of West Valley High School.
He was affectionately known to everyone's kids as "Uncle Bud." He participated in youth sports and loved racing, shooting, and snowmachining. He had a huge heart and was an excellent helper when anyone was in need.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Sam McConnell Sr.; grandmothers, Marjorie McConnell, and Barbara Aldrich; uncle, Sam McConnell Jr.; and nephews, Cameron McConnell and Grady Daniels.
Brandon is survived by his parents, Gary and Cindy McConnell; siblings, Michelle McConnell, Amy (Donnie) McConnell Ingham, Jason (Heather) McConnell, Bethany McConnell, Alexa Villalobos, Joy (Mark) Daniels, Eddie Cavett, and Heather Williams; nieces, Madisyn McConnell and Kylie McConnell; nephews, Jathan McConnell, Austin Ingham, Kaden McConnell and Tegan Daniels; grandparents, Eugene and Carol Loveland; uncles, Gene Loveland, Steven Narron and Pete McConnell; aunts, Vickie Cathey, Jeannie Wade, Valerie (Gary) Fuller, and Shirley McConnell; and cousins, Mike Webster, Kevin McConnell, and Patrick McConnell.
He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at Pike's Waterfront Lodge, 1850 Hoselton Drive, Fairbanks.
