Fairbanks resident David Frederic Young, 66, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Denali Center.

David was born Aug. 16, 1945, in Rochester, N.Y., to Wesley and Betty Jane Young. He graduated from high school and then served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a 35-year resident of Fairbanks, where he was employed as a cab driver/dispatcher for many years and also delivered for Domino's Pizza for more than 27 years. He enjoyed traveling to visit friends and family and loved photography and visiting museums.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his aunt, Sally (Ellison) Foss, of Columbia, N.H.; and cousins, Gary Foss and Carolyn Foss-Manson, both of Columbia, N.H., and Betsy Foss of Rochester, N.Y.
A celebration of David's life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, at the Howling Dog Saloon in Fox.
Arrangements were entrusted to Chapel of Chimes Funeral Home.
