Donna Lee Graff was born to Myron and Rudolph Graff on Sept. 22, 1931 in Farnum, Neb. She grew up in Nebraska for the first eight years of her life, then the family moved to Portland, Ore., where Donna graduated from Grant High School in 1949. |
In 1951, Donna went north to Anchorage. Six months later, she moved to Fairbanks and worked for Sportland Amusement Co., where she met and married Jack Nott and had four children. In 1969, she and Jack parted ways. She married Robert Guthrie, and they moved to Las Vegas and had a son. She lived in Las Vegas for 30 years. Robert preceded her in death in 1992.
In 2004, Donna married Harold G. Bittner and moved to Des Moines, Wash., where she lived the rest of her life, loving her family, shopping and traveling.
Her family said, "Donna was fun loving. She was a lady with class and sass. Donna will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts."
She passed away July 7, 2013, in Des Moines, Wash.
Donna is survived by her husband, Harold; her children, Becky and Mike Schwartzwald; Dawn Carlson, Rick Nott, Terry Hood, Rob Guthrie; stepchildren, Cindy Aguilera, Ross and Ruth Bittner; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Donna loved them all very much.
The family held a private ceremony at Tahoma National Cemetery, in Kent, Wash. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the
