James Frank Morgan Obituary
James Frank Morgan, 61, of Fairbanks, died unexpectedly Nov. 30, 2012, at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. Jim was born Sept. 2, 1951, in Sacramento, Calif., to the late Frank and Joyce Morgan.
Jim worked for his father in the produce market delivering produce and moved on to build houses in Tucson working for his uncle. After that, he transferred to a lumberyard in Durango. Eventually he fell in love with cooking and worked up and down the West Coast as a cook before landing in Alaska.
Jim had a very good heart and was always looking for the best in people. He loved pets; cats were his most favorite and he would always take in a stray. He spent most of his time outdoors, especially gold panning.
He also liked four-wheeling, hunting and fishing with his sister and brother-in-law. He had a young soul and loved people. Jim will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his sisters, Judi (Mike) Moss, of Fairbanks, Judy Wolfgram of Sacramento; niece, Amy Burmester, of Leavenworth, Wash.; cousins, Janice (Mike) Word, Linda (Lou), Skip, and all of Sacramento, Danney, Darel, Ted, all of Tucson, Ariz.; and aunt Janice; numerous cousins in and around Alaska; and friends in Fairbanks.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fairbanks Funeral Home. Services were held on Dec. 7, 2012, at Fairbanks Funeral Home. A graveside service will be announced and take place this spring at Birch Hill Cemetery.
