Joe Herbert Obituary
He lived most of his early years at Shuman House and moved to Chalkyitsik where he spent the rest of his life. Joe was a hunter, trapper and carpenter. Joe always said that he was a "natural born carpenter."
Joe was always happy and willing to help anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A funeral will be held at
2 p.m., today, Wednesday, May 11 at St. Timothy Episcopal Church in Chalkyitsik.

Joe was a welcome addition here in Tanana at the Elders Residence. He fit right in and got along good with the other Elders. He was not shy or stand offish, he always had a smile and a good morning. Joe will be missed here in Tanana. If there's a heaven, Joe is there.
