Martin "Marty" Charles Hendricks, 56, was born March 2, 1956, and passed away Nov. 9, 2012, near Dillon, Mont.

His passing was unexpected, but he died doing what he loved most.
Although it may seem his life was cut short, he had more fun and created more memories than most people can ever dream of squeezing into a lifetime.
Marty was a longtime resident of Fairbanks and Skagit Valley, Wash.
He spent a large portion of his career as an operating engineer on the trans-Alaska oil pipeline, often working in Prudhoe Bay above the Arctic Circle.
Marty was preceded in death by his sister, Jeanne; father, Reubin, and stepmother, Gloria.
He is survived by his children, Michael, Martin, Brandi and Daniel; mother, Helene; and siblings, Mary, James, Michael, John, Sarah, Joseph, Patrick, Robert, Cathy and Ellen. He also has three grandchildren that he absolutely adored: Madison, Paige and Ethan.
Marty had also found love again in recent years and will be missed dearly by his longtime girlfriend, Lynda.
A viewing is planned for Friday, Nov.16, 2012, and a celebration of Marty's life will be held Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012.
