Susie Gabayan Obituary
She was born Jan. 4, 1931, to Ada Thomas and Jonas Ward.
She enjoyed traditional activities such as sewing, making Eskimo dolls, mukluks and kuspuks. One of her most enjoyable activities was "praising the Lord" and spending quality time with her family and friends.
She will be remembered as a devout Christian and loving mother, dear grandmother, sister and caring friend.
She is survived by her sister, Ida Ross, Elmer Ward and Minnie Moyer; her children Isabelle, Soki, Jerry and Brian; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gabby Gabayan in 1987, and daughter, Nina Arnold.
Susie was laid to rest May 31, 2011 at Northern Lights Memorial Park.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Chapel of Chimes Funeral Home.

I´m still struggling and have even more pain since her passing I´ve lost my brother who was my best friend and I know she is taking care of him and they are watching over me Soki even passed and that has hit me hard as well now I´m left with taking care of my mom Isabelle and I definitely feel like I´m being tested but I´m positive I´ve gotten my strength from my grandma I truly miss all my family and feel so alone R I H everyone I love you all

This was my mentor all the way till the end and wishes for me to pass on the family knowledge of sewing and carving onto my children who also spent the last moments with their great-grandma

I was so sorry to hear about Susie's passing. She was a wonderful person who did everything she could for her family. She will be greatly missed.
