Gerry Marie (Freeman) Wooley, of North Pole, passed away peacefully July 25, 2014, at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, with her husband by her side.|
Gerry was born April 2, 1934, in West Monroe, Louisiana, to the late Q.T. and Ruby Freeman. She lived in Fairbanks for 45 years and owned the Arctic Pancake house in the '70s and '80s.
In addition to her parents, Gerry was preceded in death by her sisters, Joye and Tanya; daughter, Terry; grandsons, Taylon and Nathan.
She will be missed by her husband. Gerrald Rex Wooley Sr.; her children, Carlan, Thomas, Joye, Randy, Rex, Jason and Walter; her 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren; far too many nieces and nephews to count, and many more friends - "you know who you are."
The family will have a private service at noon Aug. 16 at the Fairbanks Native Chapel, 1110 20th Ave. They invite everyone to a celebration of her life at 2 p.m. at Pioneer Park, Square Dance Hall.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fairbanks Funeral Home.
