Edna Violet (Foster) Cluff Obituary
Edna Violet Foster Cluff, passed away in Fairbanks on July 5, 2014. Edna lived a good, long life and was a resident of Fairbanks for more than 60 years. She was born on Nov. 12, 1923, to Daniel Nelson Foster and Viola Nancy Folstrom Foster in White Earth, Minnesota.
Edna worked on the first off-shore oil rig in the Beaufort Sea as well as in Prudhoe Bay. She also worked for K-Mart in Fairbanks from its opening until they closed their doors, and finally, for Princess Tours in Healy. Working and providing the finest quality of service was her pride and joy.
Edna is survived by her son, Oliver Lemon, and daughter, Sharon Lemon Castoe; her grandchildren, Randalee LaFlamme, William Schmaus and Keith LaFlamme; great-grandchildren, BobbyLee Castoe and Keith David LaFlamme, of Anchorage; and great-great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Shaylee, David and Jason, all of Anchorage. She is also survived by her sister, Frances Wilcox, of Springfield, Oregon, and many nieces and nephews.
Edna is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Nelson Foster and Viola Nancy Folstrom Foster, and husbands, Floyd Oliver Lemon and Benjamin Cluff.
The family would like to express, "What we keep in our hearts and memory is ours, unchanged forever."
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, at Northern Lights Memorial Park, 2318 Yankovich Road, Fairbanks, Alaska 99709. Arrangements are entrusted to Fairbanks Funeral Home.
