Longtime Fairbanks resident Lucille W. Johnson died at her home Jan. 25, 2013, with her family around her. |
Lucille came to Fairbanks with her husband and children in 1968. She worked for many employers in the area, including the U.S. Post Office and the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
She enjoyed her church, family and many good friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Olen Johnson Jr., and is survived by her children, Larry Brown, of Indiana; John Brown, of Tennessee; Otis Johnson, of Alabama; Theresa Johnson, of Anchorage; and Gary and Annie Johnson, of Fairbanks.
She will be greatly missed by her children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank all of her friends, caregivers and especially her church family at True Victory Baptist Church, for the love and support that was provided.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at True Victory Baptist Church, 2140 Richardson Highway.
Viewing will be from 1-2 p.m., and the funeral service will start at 2 p.m.
