David "Lefty" Wilson Jr. passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, in Fairbanks. He was 56 years old. David was born in Tennessee on Aug. 5, 1957. He lived in Alaska for 37 years and was employed as a cab driver.

David is survived by his wife, Linda Wilson, of Fairbanks; daughter, Roseanne Wilson; stepchildren, Gina and Eric, both of Fairbanks; nephews, Vance Wilson and Maynard Wilson; and nieces, Annie Wilson and Juanita Wilson. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Geneva Wilson, and his father, Maynard Wilson; his sisters, Betty Shofield and Dorothy Wilson; and his brothers, David Wilson, Roy Wilson, Fred A. Wilson and twins.
A viewing will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Chapel of Chimes Funeral Home. Funeral Service follows at noon. The Rev. Anna Frank will officiate.
