CLAYTON – Jeffery Wayne Carroll, age 48, passed away on January 2, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 11, 2014 in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with Kyle Austin officiating.
Jeff was the son of the late Aubrey Carroll and the late Margie Brown Carroll. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and employed in the healthcare industry.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Starr Burnette.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mason & Sarah Carroll of Fremont; sister, Betty Britt of Clayton; brother, Scottie Burnette of Virginia Beach, VA.; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the funeral home prior to the service. At other times the family will be at the home of his sister, Betty Britt.

I am so sorry about Jeffery,s death. He was a good soul and I miss him in choir. We used to laugh about when he corrected me on his name. He said, "my name is Jeffery...not Jeffrey and we's just laugh every time I said his name.
