Lois A. Beebe

Lois A. Beebe, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 16, 2013 after a brief period of failing health following a fall in early September. Lois was born on December 14, 1924, the daughter of Earl and Vivian Allen of Vestal, NY. Lois graduated from Vestal (NY) High School and spent one year at Rider College before marrying. During WWII, she married her husband, Ray Beebe, and lived in Apalachin, NY, until they moved to Cary in 1966. Lois was a bank teller for many years at BB&T on Chatham Street, Cary, and then Southern National in Apex. Lois was a member of Christ The King Lutheran Church in Cary and for years an active member of the Esther Circle. She was also active in the VFW
Ladies Auxiliary. Lois was a proud volunteer at the Dorcas Shop in Cary for many years.
Lois was married for 65 years to her loving husband, Ray. Ray passed away in 2010. She is survived by three children, son Monte R. Beebe (and his wife Susan, Sunset Beach), son Thomas A. Beebe (and his wife Roxanne, Morrisville) and daughter, Jo Ann Kourim (and her husband Bruce, Winston-Salem). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, brother-in-law Don Beebe (Cary), two nieces, and numerous other relatives. All will miss her greatly.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Dorcas Ministries, 187 High House Road, Cary, NC 27511. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at 1:30 pm, at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 600 Walnut Street, Cary, NC.
