Annie R. Barbour

Annie Ruth Ryals Barbour, 80, passed away, into the arms of her Lord and Savior surrounded by her children and grandchildren at Wake Medical Hospital on August 9, 2009. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Johnson Memorial Church, Hwy 50, Angier, N.C. , 919-894-3688, with Rev. R.B. Parrish officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Clayton. Family will receive friends 7:00-8:30 Wednesday evening at McLaurin Funeral Home, Clayton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Barbour, twin infant sons, grandchildren, Zachary Taylor, Larry Barbour, Jr., and Walton Barbour. She is survived by her sons, Larry Barbour and wife, Diane of Raleigh, Mark Barbour of Smithfield; daughter, Sherry Weddle and husband, Mark of Garner; grandchildren, Nathan Weddle and wife, Angela of Raleigh, Michael Weddle of Raleigh, Jonathan Weddle and wife, Kristelle of Raleigh, Leslie Bristow and husband, Logan of Wake Forest, great-grandchildren, Jake, Carson, Tessa, Matthew and Josh Weddle, and Hayden Bristow due, August 28, 2009. Annie Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. Nothing brought her more joy than to have her family join together at the dining room table, enjoying her down home cooking.
