Frank Nachtrab Obituary

Frank Charles Nachtrab, Sr., 91, of Raleigh, formerly of Ridgewood, NY, died Monday, August 10, 2009 at his home in Raleigh. Frank was born March 31, 1918 in Queens, NY to George and Rose Haneman Nachtrab. Frank was a WWII veteran of the US Army. He was owner and operator of Nachtrab’s Quality Meats in Ridgewood, NY from 1946-1983. Frank was preceded in death by his brother George F. Nachtrab; and sister, Violet Nachtrab. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ruth Meyer Nachtrab; daughter, Ruth Parker of Raleigh; sons, Frank Charles Nachtrab, Jr. and his wife, Susan of Selden, NY; and John Nachtrab of Columbus, OH; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 12th, and 2:00-4:00 p.m. Thursday, August 13th 2009 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27609. Memorials may be made to the International Bible Society, P.O. Box 35901, Colorado Springs, CO 80935-3901.
