Timothy Mauldin Obituary

Timothy A. Mauldin

Austin, TX

Timothy Allan Mauldin, 36, died suddenly in his home in Austin, Texas on Thursday, June 18th 2015.

He is not defined by how he died, but rather how he lived.

Timothy was born on October 26th, 1978 in Hattiesburg, MS.

Timothy always had an enthusiasm and interest in technology, which drove him to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from North Carolina State University in 2005. He continued to pursue his passion with a Master of Science in Engineering at the University of Texas in 2013. His technical skills have helped a wide variety of people, most recently at his position of Vice President of Engineering at KaleidaCare.

He married Lauren Upton in 2010 at City Park in New Orleans, and allowed his wife to acquire too many animals… which he loved despite their mass quantity. Timothy enjoyed traveling the world, riding his motorcycle, reading, and most importantly – spending time with his loved ones.

He is preceded by his grandparents; Charles Colette & Hazel Napier Mauldin and James Arthur & Lucille Hutchinson Robertson. He leaves behind his wife; Lauren Mauldin, parents; Allan Craig Mauldin and Betty Sue Robertson, sister; Mandolin Bernal as well as many others who will miss him.

A memorial service will be held at Zilker Park in Austin at 7:00pm on Thursday, June 25th. Memorial donations may be sent to Austin Pets Alive (http://www.austinpetsalive.org/).

Lauren, while I don't know you and Tim personally, feel a little like I do, having followed your blog for some time. I pray for you and all of Tim's relatives and friends, that you will find peace during these difficult days.

Psalm 30:5b "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." I pray the days of sorrow will be replaced more and more by the wonderful memories of the love you and Tim shared.

Tim, I will certainly miss seeing you around the barn and hanging out with you at horse shows. I always looked forward to seeing you cause you had such a cool perspective of life. You gave me such fantastic, out of the box advice during our barn chats. Rest in peace my brother. Lauren, I'm so sorry for your loss. Prayers to you and your family.

Tim was a delightful man, always considerate and helpful. We would have a lot of fun insightful conversations hanging out with a couple glasses of wine. It was an honor to be considered one of his coworkers and friend.

Dearest Lauren,

Both Haley and I send our heartfelt condolences to both you and the entire family. We thought the absolute world of Tim! Tim always had that pleasant smile, on his face and the compassion and warmth that he eluded whenever he walked into a room, lite up one's soul. We will miss him dearly! May peace be with you. We hope to see you soon.
Love,
Brenda and Haley Jones
