Deborah Jo Newman Huneycutt, age 64, a resident of 5403 Crossroads Valley Court, Raleigh went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 6, 2017. Born in Vance County on January 26, 1953, she was the daughter of the late David Lee Newman and Josephine Smith Newman. She was an insurance agent and VFIS representative for over 40 years having worked with Wester Insurance and Anders, Ireland and Marshall. Mrs. Huneycutt was an active member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Raleigh where she served as a deacon. She loved her family, friends and co-workers deeply.

Funeral services will be held today at 3:00 PM by Rev. Tim Burgess, Rev. Will Breedlove and Rev. Ray Renn in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens. A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 12, 2017 at 2:30 P.M. at Macedonia Baptist Church, 7100 Holly Springs Rd, Raleigh, NC 27606 by Pastor Jimmy Brown.

She is survived by two sons, Chris Wright (Brandy) of Henderson and Chad Wright (Heather) of Garner; three grandchildren, Blake Wright, Lily Wright and Lacy Wright; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Margie Lee Beasley; and two nephews, David Perry Beasley and Michael Ellis Beasley.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 P.M. till 3:00 P.M. at J.M. White Funeral Home. The family will be at the home of Chris and Brandy Wright, 2825 Stewart Farm Road, Henderson, 27537 at other times.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Danny Wright, Hartwell Wright, Scott Fields, Steve Falkner, Walter Gardner, Mike Coghill, Tommy Frazier and John Wester. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be members of the Vance County Fire Department, Henderson Fire Department and Cokesbury Volunteer Fire Department.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church, 7100 Holly Springs Rd, Raleigh, NC 27606.
