Alexis Nagle-Carro passed away peacefully on Thursday, April, 17, 2014 after a brief illness.

Alexis was an 11th generation Santa Barbaran born on January 27, 1981 to Joseph and Kathryn Nagle.

She attended St. Raphael School, graduated from Arroyo Grande High School and earned her BA in Business Administration at Cal Poly. Alexis was married to Christopher Carro of Bothell, Washington at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Santa Barbara on May 19, 2012.

Alexis began her working career with DJ Design Home Builders in Pismo Beach. She started there at age 16 and worked for 10 years as bookkeeper and business manager while attending high school and college. During high school Alexis participated in track, swimming and basketball. She was also a volunteer in the annual Special Olympics Program. In 2006 she returned to Santa Barbara where she worked for the Montecito Water District as their Financial Analyst/I.T. Specialist.

Alexis was and will always be a beautiful, intelligent soul with, as her friends and family would all agree, a unique sense of humor. She was an avid sports fan and especially loved watching all the big games and fights with her husband, bother and dad. In addition to her working career she was a volunteer team leader for the annual Avon Breast Cancer Walk. Alexis enjoyed spending time with family, friends and her beloved dog Rocky.

Alexis is survived by her husband Christopher Carro, his daughters Madison and Olivia, her mother-in law Rosemary Carro-Oliver, her grandmother June Pearl Ruiz of Santa Barbara, her brother Kyle Phillip Greco (Eugenia) and nieces Sophia and Emilia Greco. Her aunts Theresa (Ronald) Shahan, Mia Ruiz Beraldo, Anne Hart from Pensacola, Florida. Her uncles Buster (Alix), Joseph (Diane) and David (Suzanne) Ruiz, She also left behind scores of loving cousins, friends and relatives who will miss her but will always remember her and the numerous family gatherings over the years at the Ruiz Family home.

Her wonderful spirit and joy of life will be celebrated with a Mass at St. Raphael's Church at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 16.
