Passed away August 5, 2013, following a short illness with members of his devoted family at his side. George was born in Santa Ana, CA on April 5, 1919 to Claude Emerson Potter and Beulah Whitsell Potter. Prior to retirement he was an employee of Southern California Gas Company. He spent 40 years in the natural gas industry working primarily in their compressor stations and most recent to his retirement, as a shift supervisor at the Goleta plant. George is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Helen; three sons, George Raymond Potter Jr. (Carol); Leonard Martin Potter; and David Craig Potter. He is also survived by his grandson, Martin Leonard Potter and other relatives.
