Peacefully passed away at Serenity House on December 15, 2013, after a long struggle with metastasized breast cancer. Leslie-Ann was born in Ndola, Zambia, on January 11, 1957 and grew up in South Africa. Leslie-Ann loved her family, friends, children and animals. With a sunny smile and an unfailingly cheery hello, she graciously warmed the lives of many people who loved her deeply. She leaves behind her husband of twenty eight years, Cobus, in Santa Barbara. In South Africa she leaves her elderly parents, her brother, sister and their families including nieces and their families, as well as her sister-in-law, her son and daughter and their families. She leaves a tremendous void in her husband's life and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her--both near and far.
A celebration of Leslie-Ann's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 20, at the Free Methodist Church of Santa Barbara, 1435 Cliff Drive, Santa Barbara, CA 93109. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor her life may make a donation to the Free Methodist Church. Leslie has a Caring Bridge site (www.caringbridge.org) - please set up an account and search for Leslie-Ann Malan for Journal information.
