Died Thursday, August 22, 2013. Carol was a Unitarian Universalist who later in life became a Quaker. She was a teacher/director in early education for a number of years in Santa Monica, California. Carol took training at Star King in Berkeley, California, and was ordained as a Unitarian Universalist Minister in Santa Monica where she served for many years as a Minister of Religious Education. She later became the Minister of Religious Education at the Unitarian Universalist Church, in Santa Barbara, California.

Carol retired at the age of 70. She moved to Abingdon, Virginia in 2003 where she became active in local community affairs. She helped in the early development of the Elderspirit Community at Trailview, and was one of the original residents. She was grateful for the life she lived, having two fine husbands, a wonderful son and many great friends.

Carol was predeceased by her only son, Kenneth Michael Edwards, a singer/songwriter who worked with many famous people, including Linda Ronstadt and Karla Bonoff. He was beloved by the music community and he helped many young musicians in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. She is also preceded in death by two husbands, Kenneth Clyde Edwards and Robert V. Stern; parents, Henry John Keller and Dorothy Laughton Penniman Keller; and brother, William Keller.

There will be a celebration of Carol's life at a later date.
