McNamara, Josephine - Danbury  
McNamara, Josephine Josephine McNamara, of Danbury CT, died peacefully August 24, 2016 at Milton hospital after a brief illness. She was 77 years old. Josephine was the devoted wife of the late Richard W. McNamara. Loving mother of Steven McNamara and his wife Susanne of Clermont FL, and Christine Trendell and her husband Benjamin of Canton. Sister of the late Ann Bernard and Alteo Benvenuti. Sister in law of Mary E McNamara of Glendale, NY. Proud grandmother of Emily and Peter McNamara and Jack, Stephanie, and Fiona Trendell. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours in the Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman St., Canton, Thursday September 1, 2016 from 3-7 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Josephine's memory to the American Lung Association 1661 Worcester Road, Suite 301 Framingham, MA 01701.

Martinelli, Francesca - Croton-On-Hudson  
Martinelli, Francesca Francesca Martinelli of Croton-on-Hudson, New York, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 82. Francesca was born in Manhattan on January 25, 1934 to the late Joseph Piazza and Regina Mazzochi. She graduated from James Monroe High School in the Bronx and became a mother in 1950. She treasured her two children, Denise and Richard. Francesca had a passion for art, and had been painting for the last forty years. Her award winning artwork is well known in the Hudson Valley, and her paintings are held in private collections in the United States, England, and Australia. Francesca's paintings were inspired by her life experiences and the beauty she appreciated and observed all around her. Francesca also loved being near the water and some of her fondest memories were those spent on the beaches of Montauk with her late husband, Ralph. Most recently, she found serenity and happiness in her condo on the Hudson River, always enjoying the magnificent sunsets. Francesca's beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives of her children, Denise Murphy (Olivier) and her husband James of Garnerville, NY, Richard Olivier and his wife Monique of Brookfield, CT, and step-daughter Rosemary Analecta Ministeri of Knoxville, TN. Francesca was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Martinelli and by her stepson John Martinelli. Francesca is also survived by her ten grandchildren, Joshua, Regina, Kristen, Danielle, Sarahrose, James Jr., Rickey, Michael, Anthony, and Lauren; her four great grandchildren, Joshua Jr., Olivia, Luke, and Carter; her two beloved sisters, Josephine Abbagliato of Brookfield, CT and Rita Oliver (George) of Rye, NY, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Francesca was a talented woman who inspired so many. Family and friends were her love and joy. She truly was the matriarch of her family and can never be replaced. Francesca will be missed and her endless love of her family will never be forgotten. Family and friends may visit Sunday, August 28, 2016 at T.J. McGowan Funeral Home 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville NY from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Francesca's Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, August 29, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church in Garnerville. Burial to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale, NY.

Mancini Jr., Joseph - Stamford  
Mancini, Jr., Joseph J. Joseph J. Mancini, Jr., 61, of New Milford, formerly of Stamford, passed away suddenly on August 13, 2016 at Stamford Hospital. Joseph was born in Stamford on December 7, 1954 the son of Joseph J. Mancini, Sr. and the late Rose Terranova Mancini. Joseph graduated Stamford Catholic High School, Class of 1973, where he was an athletic standout in both baseball and basketball. He went on to attend Loyola College in Baltimore, MD, Class of 1977, where he also played baseball. Joseph was a supervisor for the United States Postal Service for over forty years and was just inducted into the Stamford Old Timers Association. Joe had a love of music and shared that with his 'girls', taking them to many concerts. Joe had no greater love then that for his daughters; he was a dedicated father, deeply involved in the caring and raising of his 'girls'. Besides his father, Joe is survived by his five daughters; Jenna, Arden, Lily and Imre Mancini and Diana Rodriguez-Ingram and her daughter Piper Lorelei, all of New Milford, the mother of his children Maria Rodriguez of New Milford, his siblings; Melanie Sierpina and her husband Mike of Stamford, Kathi Joyce and her husband Jack of Stamford and Thomas Mancini and his wife Lisa of Matthews, NC. Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, also survive. A funeral procession will leave the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT at 9:30AM on Friday August 19, 2016 and proceed to St. Mary's RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery, Oaklawn Avenue, Stamford. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday August 18, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00PM. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Francis Xavier RC Church in New Milford, CT at a date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be in Joseph's name to . McAllister, Patricia - Danbury  
MC ALLISTER, PATRICIA C. Patricia Colleen McAllister passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 19, at her home in East Hartford, CT. She was born on August 20th, 1956, in Danbury, CT, to the late Colin W. McAllister and Margaret Mary Kelly McAllister. She was a graduate of St. Peter School in Danbury, attended Notre Dame Academy in Ridgefield until its closing, and completed her high school degree from Danbury High School. She graduated with honors from The University of Rhode Island with a B.A. in history in 1977. While in College she interned in the Rhode Island Public Defender's office. After completing her undergraduate degree she worked full-time while attending the University of Bridgeport (now Quinnipiac) Law School at night. Pat graduated with her juris doctorate on May 9, 1982, and was admitted to the Connecticut State Bar in the same year. Her early career was in the corporate world until her entry into the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Special Agent. After the FBI she worked for many years for Coca-Cola throughout the East Coast. As a Staff Attorney her focus areas included EPA, DOT and OSHA Compliance, Labor Contract negotiations and Worker's Compensation. Upon her retirement she entered into the Congregation of Notre Dame and resided at the Villa Maria Convent in the Bronx, New York. She was assigned to St. Jean Baptiste Girls' High School in Manhattan where she developed and administered a tutoring program for academically at-risk students. In her later years she returned to the corporate world and worked in both insurance and human resources. She is survived by her four siblings: T. William McAllister of Woodbury, Susan and (Thomas) Conway of Williamsburg, Virginia, J. Brett and (Susan) McAllister of Colebrook, and Mary Ellen and (Thomas) Cody of South Glastonbury. She was the proud Aunt of 19 nieces and nephews: Colin, Moira, Mary Kate, Patricia, Liam, Daniel, Kelly, Margaret, Victoria, Richard, Patrick, Kevin, Christopher, Amanda, Freeman, Devon, Kendra, Kayla and Bailey. Pat cherished her relationship with her 33 first cousins and their families, as well as many close lifelong friends. She was affectionately known by many as Tippy. Pat was an avid lover of dogs and she is now with her beloved Farley. There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Peter Church, 115 Main Street, Danbury, on Saturday, August 27, at 9:00 a.m. A family burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to St. Peter School, 98 Main Street, Danbury, CT 06810.

Merullo, Eleanor - Danbury  
Merullo , Eleanor R. Eleanor H. Merullo of Danbury, CT passed away peacefully on August 19, 2016. Born in East Boston on December 9, 1920, Eleanor was the loving daughter of the late Rocco and Albina (Graziano) Russo. Eleanor (Ellie) was a gifted artist and an outstanding cook. She nearly always had her apron on – and a pot of sauce simmering on the stove. She welcomed everyone to her table regardless of race, religion, or nationality. Her greatest passion in life was her family, and her dedication to them was unparalleled. Her strength, humor, and integrity endeared her to all that had the privilege of knowing her. She will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who will forever cherish her memory. She was the devoted wife of the late Emanuel A. Merullo. Eleanor is survived by her children John R. (Betsy Sachs) of Danbury, CT, Robert J. (Sharee Stay) of Castle Rock CO, Steven G. of Tampa, FL (Chris Giefer) of San Diego, CA, Lynda M. Robinson (David Robinson) of Tampa, FL. Eleanor was the cherished sister of Robert Russo of East Boston, MA, the late Pauline Russo, Anna Gavegnano and Mary Nazarro. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Timothy Merullo, Stephanie Benso, Adrianne Benso, Robert Merullo Jr., Jaclyn Merullo, Chelsee Merullo, Matthew Merullo and Mackenzie Merullo, as well as her loving great grandchildren Trinity Crawford, Darwin Crawford, Rhyse Pahlavon, Maddox Pahlavon, James Merullo, Joseph Merullo, and Grace Merullo. Eleanor is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Family and friends are encouraged to call at The Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury CT 06810, from 2:00-5:00 pm on Sunday August 28, 2016.
