Don was a special high school friend . We had good times together both in and outside of Danbury High. At the end of each summer, after completing our construction jobs, we went off together to Old Orchard Beach for a week of R&R. We were also in the Navy Reserve during high school and went on active duty at the same time. I'm pleased that we were able to spend time together at our high school class reunion last Sept. Our sincere condolences to Karen, Craig, Annie and the Kovacs family.

Don was so much more than a customer to all of us at Rizzuto's. He was a friend to us all. He was one of the kindest, gentlest men I have had the privilege of knowing; a wonderful man, devoted father and beautiful person. To say that we feel a profound loss is an understatement. I will miss seeing his smile at the end of the bar. Love to Karen, Craig and Annie and the rest of Don's family.
